Resumen
En este artículo analizamos algunos de los debates existentes alrededor de la pregunta “¿Es Manuel Castells un clásico?”. Estos debates, que se dieron a partir de la publicación de la trilogía La Era de la Información, podrían indicar la existencia de una comunidad que lucha por la interpretación de un clásico, entendiéndolo como marco referencial para las ciencias sociales, ante la inexistencia de paradigmas. Para finalizar, proponemos algunas pautas para la lectura de este autor en función de esta caracterización de clásico.
